First - no matter the weather, as long as the roads are open, we will proceed with the ceremony, rain or shine, hot or cold, wet or dry.
As in 2018, due to continuing expansion at the cemetery, we will be unable to accommodate parking at the cemetery. The cemetery is only able to accommodate parking for vehicles with handicap permits. And even then, we will not have enough parking for all the handicap permitted vehicles. If at all possible, we suggest you consider parking at one of our four parking lots and taking the free shuttle buses to the cemetery.
All others, please park at one of the four parking lots listed below. The twenty-minute Wreaths Across Chattanooga annual ceremony will begin promptly at Noon. Immediately following the conclusion of the ceremony, we need hundreds of volunteers to stay and help us distribute wreaths on our veteran's headstones. Free shuttle buses will be available to take you to the event, and bring you back after the event. Buses will start running at 9:00 am, continuously until 30 minutes after the last wreath is placed.
Parking Lot A - M&M Industries Inc. The closest parking will be across the street from the Southeast corner of the cemetery at M&M Industries. This is located at 1435 E 14th St, just off Holtzclaw Ave. As the closest parking, this lot will likely fill up first, probably before 10:00 am.
Parking Lot B - National Guard Armory The next closest parking will be about one mile south of the cemetery on Holtzclaw Ave. at the TN National Guard Armory (1801 S. Holtzclaw Ave). This parking lot is expected to fill up fast. Unless you are arriving before 10:00 am, you will want to choose Parking Lot C, or Park at the Redemtion Church (Details Below).
Parking Lot C - Tuftco Corporation Parking Lots A, B and C will be services by the same bus route, so it doesn't really matter which of the three lots you chose, or find space at. Tuftco's parking is located at 2318 S Holtzclaw Ave, South of E 23rd Street.
Parking Lot D - Redemption Church This parking lot has the most parking, and has a separate bus to transport the public from Redemption To The Nations Church to the cemetery. The church is located at 1908 Bailey Ave, about 1/2 mile East of the cemetery.
